Vaginal fibroid surgery is the removal of fibroids that prolapse through the cervix or grow into the uterine cavity through the vaginal route. This method is particularly ideal for submucosal fibroids and pedunculated fibroids that protrude through the cervix.

Also known as hysteroscopic myomectomy, in this method, fibroids are removed using special instruments inserted through the cervix. No incision is made in the abdomen.
