What is Peritoneal Cancer?

Primary peritoneal cancer is a rare cancer originating from the peritoneal tissue lining the inner surface of the abdominal cavity. It shares similar characteristics with ovarian cancer.

It can develop even in women whose ovaries have been removed. The treatment approach is similar to ovarian cancer.
